My father was a Motorsports Journalist in California covering Sonoma Raceway (formerly Infineon Raceway and Sears Point). Growing up, I tagged along with him to every race I could and I loved every form of motor racing, but the motorcycles always fascinated me the most. They were by far the coolest and most beautiful things I had ever seen; watching motorcycles fly by on the track was more like watching a ballet than a race. I always told my dad that someday, I would be out there competing, too.
I started riding motorcycles when I was 12 and started racing competitively in 2016, finally living out my childhood dreams. I competed in two races in California, racing for the AFM where I was able to snag a 2nd and 3rd in my second weekend of racing in the amateur division. Then, I moved to Chicago and competed in three full seasons with CCS, 2017-2019. In 2017, I was able to bring home the Rookies Cup and finished 2nd in three other categories during my first amateur year in the Midwest. For the 2018 season, I bumped up to the Expert field where I was able to finish just outside the Top 10 Overall Experts and 3rd in two championships, all while missing two race weekends for being taken out at my first race at Road America in July. I recovered from surgery on my clavicle for the full 2019 season and finished 3rd overall in the Midwest in just my second year as an Expert. I also returned to Road America for my first race with the MotoAmerica series in June of 2019, earning a Top 20 finish.
